In 2004 in downtown Homestead, in a musty ol’ spare dorm room at Fire Station 16, the idea of Fire Brigade was born. Station 16 at the time was one of the busiest houses in Miami-Dade County. On the B shift, between the calls, we found ourselves unwinding with a little music and entertainment produced by just a few of us from the station. After just a few jam sessions, a member of the A shift found us to be worthy enough to play a few songs at his father’s retirement party. From that one “gig”, Fire Brigade was eventually formed. This band gave MDFR’s brothers and sisters a new way to socialize, bond and come together outside of the walls of the station we proudly have the privilege to respond from. We have been rock’n venues all over South Florida and even a few out of State ever since.
Fire Brigade has been supporting act for such international recording artists as: Blue Oyster Cult, Joan Jet, Lita Ford, Molly Hatchet, Little River Band, Trick Pony, and most recently they performed with Pitt Bull for the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards.
Fire Brigade would like to thank all of their supporters, friends, and especially family for always being there. A special thanks to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue for being the reason we all came together; Always Ready, Proud to ROCK!
